Meet the Team

TrueCare Pharmacy is the largest group of independent pharmacies in Texas. I addition to offering solid business solutions for independent pharmacies across the south and midwest, our corporate office, PBA Health, invests in the future of pharmacies by supporting legislation and bringing to light both local and national issues affecting independent pharmacies.

In Texas the need for political advocacy for the pharmacy industry has never been greater. Questionable business and financial practices by PBMs, threats to Medicaid, the advent of Medicare Part D and issues such as the increasing number of private businesses and government agencies forcing their employees to use mail-order prescriptions, provide new threats to our industry daily.

The Texas Legislative Council consists of volunteer members of the independent pharmacy industry who act as advocates on legislative and regulatory issues that impact the future of independent pharmacy. That includes oversight of the Pharmacy Survival Fund, a fund that ensures education efforts will continue on issues important to our industry.

Combined with the Texas Legislative Team, and TrueCare members across the state, the council makes up a proactive grassroots network that allows independent pharmacy to react quickly and effectively on both federal and state issues.
